Our story

A family with a heart
for the nations.

The Missional Life began with a simple conviction: God can use every part of our story when we place it in His hands.

Different gifts.
One shared yes.

Dan and Amanda founded The Missional Life to inspire people to live God’s mission with the life, gifts, experience, and relationships He has already given them.

Their backgrounds span music, healthcare, business, education, and international development. Across short-term and mid-term missions, local church ministry, teaching, worship, community development, and family life, God continued drawing the same thread: listen, obey, serve people well, and help others do the same.

Today, they serve from Belize with their children, Elizabeth and Judah. Amanda brings her nursing and healthcare experience to practical care and compassionate service. Dan teaches, mentors, supports community development, equips churches, and leads worship. Together, they invest in people and partnerships that can grow beyond a single moment.

What shapes us

Grace at the center.
Mission in motion.

We want the way we serve to reflect the heart of Jesus—relational, courageous, generous, grounded in truth, and led by love.

Presence

We listen before we lead and choose relationship over quick results.

Grace

We serve from what Jesus has already done, not pressure or performance.

Activation

We help people move from learning into faithful, practical obedience.

Partnership

We honor local leaders and believe the Kingdom grows through shared work.

Why “The Missional Life”?

Mission is not a trip.
It is a way of living.

The name is an invitation to see everyday life differently. Your home, workplace, church, neighborhood, gifts, resources, disappointments, and dreams can all become places where God’s love is made known.

Sometimes that calling leads across the world. Sometimes it leads across the room. In both places, the question is the same: “Jesus, how can I join You here?”
